Bisquick Beer-Batter Fish Fry


  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 1/3 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 ounces beer
  • 2 lbs fish fillets
  • oil ( for frying)



  • First of all heat the oil to 375 degrees F.
  • Mix dry ingredients; add beer to get a sticky consistency for dipping.
  • Give a little bit salt fish; dip in batter.
  • Deep fry until fish is golden brown.
  • Note: a thicker cut of fish would be more suitable for this recipe and like a snapper, walleye and white bass white perch etc.
